Usage Guidelines:
-
Filtration Range: The 0.1 Micron absolute inline filter is designed to remove particulates and microorganisms only. It cannot filter dissolved substances (such as saltwater) or colored liquids. As it does not contain activated carbon, it may not completely eliminate odors from water.
Note: TDS meters cannot detect the external filtration performance of the filter. - Correct Flow Direction: Ensure the filter is installed and used in the correct flow direction as indicated.
- First-Time Use:The membrane needs to be wetted before optimal flow is achieved. A slower flow at first use is normal.
- Avoid High Water Pressure:Do not connect the filter directly to a faucet or pressurized source. Excessive pressure can damage the internal fiber membrane. (Please follow pressure guidelines based on your filter model.)
- Freeze Protection:Avoid freezing the filter, as this may damage the fiber membrane. In cold weather, keep the filter protected. Water temperature should not exceed 45°C.
Backflushing:
When the water flow becomes slow, backflushing is necessary:
- Fill the filter with a small amount of clean or purified water.
- Attach the included syringe to the filter outlet and backflush clean water through the filter several times until clear.
Cleaning & Storage:
To prolong the filter’s lifespan, clean and disinfect after each use:
- Filter Cleaning: Backflush using the method above. For disinfection, mix a few drops of bleach or disinfectant in 500ml of clean water and run through the filter.
- Tube & Reservoir Cleaning: Rinse hoses and water bladders thoroughly.
- Drying & Storage: After draining, air dry the filter in a well-ventilated area for at least one night before storing.
- Dust & Pest Protection: Store in a dry, sunlit place at room temperature. Use the cap to prevent dust or small insects from entering.
